The Sharon Rye School of Dance

Our new class timetable has now been posted this will take effect from Monday 16th april 2012(subject to change).

STARTING WEDNESDAY 18TH APRIL AT 5.45-6.30PM BOYS ONLY STREET DANCE CLASS AGE FROM 5YRS TO 12YRS.

STARTING FRIDAY 20TH APRIL AT 6.45-7.30PM NEW DRAMA CLASS 5YRS TO 11YRS

During the next few months we are very pleased to start to introduce our new Dance & Drama Syllabus.  Now being part of the United Kingdom Dance and Drama Federation. Who is a Certified Dance Education Trainer and of which the one of its most famous students was Robbie Williams(Take That) was part of in his early years. Our exam syllabus and medal test will be scheduled shortly, and I think the students will be eager to start and get great results.

Also for our students we will be shortly be doing audition/drama audition workshops with the outstanding Louise BECKETT, MA (Central School of Speech and Drama) who teaches Acting & Performance Skills; Meisner Technique; Presentation Skills and Voice Coaching; Preparation for Drama School; On Site Coaching for Screen and Theatre Actors. So very exciting.

Also coming in September our school is to start GCSE Dance, and will be taking names for this course now to start in the new academic school year.  I know this will prove to be very exciting news for our older students and indeed myself.  

If you would like to see anything intoduced or would like a certain workshop please come to me and of course I will do my upmost to make it happen.

Our show had been scheduled for mid 2013, but many of the students have requested I bring it forward, I will be looking into it and wil keep you posted.
